Bounce Back Mattress Recycling has been established to reduce the current problem of mattresses contributing to the overflowing landfill issues in Australia by diverting a minimum of 75% of all mattress components to recycling streams. Bounce Back is the only Australian Bedding Stewardship Council (ABSC) approved mattress recycler in South Australia.
Mattress recycling has for many years been considered nonviable and, for this reason, has been a source of ongoing contention within council areas and traditional waste streams. Bounce Back is here to change that mindset, employing manual dismantling methods combined with social inclusion to provide best practice outcomes in environmental and social employment opportunities.

IMPACT
Mattresses are dismantled on-site using processes that maximise the recovery and recycling of individual components, providing an immediate 75% diversion to landfill, with Bounce Back continuing to explore new options in the industry to improve recycling rates and provide increased outcomes for the environment.
The recovered commodities from mattress recycling at Ottoway will be used for purposes such as:
Wood > Compost
Foam > Underlay for carpets
Steel > Baling metals recycled

Bounce Back Mattress Recycling is an initiative of SA Group Enterprises. Across its highly successful range of commercial enterprises, SA Group Enterprises is a major employer of over 600 staff, of which 350 identify with disability, receiving supports in employment.

Q. Do you pay me for my mattress?
A. Unfortunately not. The process of recycling mattresses is time consuming, so there is a fee of $35 per mattress.
Q. Where are you located?
A. 301 Grand Junction Road, Ottoway (enter via Duncan Court).
Q. What are your opening hours?
A. Monday to Friday, 8am – 4pm, with mattress drop off until 2pm.
Q. Do you collect?
A. Yes! Fee's start at $85 and include recycling of your mattress at our recycling facility.

Thank you for wishing to recycle your mattress with Bounce Back!
To do this, please visit our recycling facility at 301 Grand Junction Road with entry via Duncan Court. When you arrive, please visit reception to make a $35 payment and receive further instruction as to where to drop the mattress off on site. Note that mattress drop off is available between 8am and 2pm.
We also offer a collection service for your mattress. Fees start from $85 including mattress recycling. Please call 8209 2850 or fill out contact form below to make a booking.
